Tis' The Day To Be Scary!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Halloweens tomorrow! and alot of you might be going to parties or what not but are stuck on what to wear or how to do your makeup. well halloween is the only time where you can wear anything you want and do your makeup however you want and no one can say anything..so take advantage of it and be extravaggent! heres a couple of tips for halloween costumes:

first off you dont need to go buy expensive make up for you costume theme. it does not have to be mac, dior or make up forever, get your basic things at walgreens or cvs.

SEXY BITES

If you plan on being a vampire (which 99% of people will be) buy your white face paint from walgreens for $6 dollars and make some contour lines on your cheeks, ( tutorial on 1st blog) then do your makeup smokey black and red. Lose the fake fangs they are soooooo cheeeeesyyy, instead go to any drugstore or any halloween story and buy the fangs that mold to your teeth or buy sexy bites

FAIRYTOPIA
if you plan on being a fairy, you too should go to walgreens! they have the perfect ice princess kit. although its not "fairy-ish" you dont need it to be..all you need to do is apply green or pink glittery make up and using the kit apply the sparklys onto your face ( fairys are shiny) and it will go perfect with your costume. watch the video posted below it is a great tutorial on how to do fairy makeup

MICHAEL JACKSON
In honor of michael jackson alot of people will be going as michael jackson ( not cliche at all!). but they look so goofy! the key to looking like michael jackson CONTOURING ! you need to know where to contour and you will need a fadora and some "chips" shades. the best advice i can give on MJ is make sure you buy alot of dark concealers in order to acheive the look. Watch Kandee Johnsons Michael jackson tutorial to get an idea of what you can do.

MORE TIPS:

PRICEY COSTUMES
when buying your constume, keep in mind that there are tons of stores that have cheap costumes i.e. walmart, walgreens, cvs, target, and the costume stores that are not really known are the ones who have discount costumes. you are only going to wear the costume once so dont spend hundreds on it. Its understandable that most people dont like making home made costumes because they look cheesy try to buy a costume online before halloween because its cheaper when its not halloween season.

MAKE-UP
make up is the best mart of halloween, so go all out but before you do. look at some youtube tutorials to get some background info on your costume and what kind of make up can go with it! remember..buy cheap face paint dont spend hundereds on halloween makeup.

I hope these simple tips helped! have a safe and Happy Halloween!!!

Face

whether its blackheads, overly blushing, or oily skin, everyone has problems with there facial area, its a common probably mostly amongst teens. listed below are a couple of tips and tricks that can kick your worries out the window.

How to stop blushing
-Everyone has gotten embarrassed b4 but unfortunately instead of having the option to go hide under a rock, u have to deal with the rush of blush flowing to your cheeks. the actual key to stop urself from blushing does not even involve a make up technique, all u need to do is relax and keep yourself in a calm state of mind, ( its easier said than done) even though you might end up in a embarassing situation, take a deep breath and accept it. if you take control on how you react to situations then that will minimize your blushing.

BlackHeads
- Blackheads mostly occur when clogging occurs in when dead skin cells stop the flow of oil in your skin freely and it interacts with the air..( which causes it to be "black") . The best thing to do with black heads is to cleanse your face regularly. do not use too much of the alcohol substances because that opens up your pores and causes more pores to enter, so use it once a week. when you put make up on try to use mineral make up and less oily because that can cause blockage in your poors. do not wash your face with a bar of soap because soap holds its shape and it will not wash off and it will add to the blockage of your pores, use a liquid soap or a gentle liquid cleanser.

Blemishes
-Blemishes are a drag, especially when you get it the day of prom or even worse your wedding! the best way to cover up blemishes are covering it up with concealer that is about two shades darker than your skin color, dont add too much concealer. you do not want people to think you grew a dark mole overnight. unfortunately some blemishes are dry so when you add concealer it just highlights the dryness. the best thing you can actually do is use gel ( such as " Murad- Post acne spot lightening gel") sometimes concealer can do the opposite and highlight the blemish and show the redness. so its your judgment call.

EyeLiner

Eyeliner is a pretty tricky thing to grasp. people either apply the liner either too high above their lash line or they apply it with a unsteady hand which makes it look like you have a ocean wave on your eyelid. before you even apply the eye liner, you have to buy one thats good for your eyes, either liquid line or gel liner. if your new you should start with a creamy eyeliner pencil. it takes much practice to achieve the lid liner look but when you get the hang of it, its a piece of pie =]

Favorite Liners

M.A.C. - BlackTrak Fluid Line

M.A.C- Liquid Liner Boot Black

Bobbi Brown- Long Wear Gel Liner

Mark. - On The Edge Hook Up

These brands are extremlyy amazing but dont forget that if you end up buying a gel liner make sure you buy a brush along w/ it.

Teased Hair

So many people try to achieve the "teased hair" look and it is getting extremly played out. I dont know how people have time to tease their hair at 6 am, but anyways if you do end up teasing your hair make sure u do it the right way, and dont be like Tracy Turnblad from the movie Hairspray give your hair a modern twist instead of just a big poof in the back of your head.

Basic Poof-

In order to achieve a teased ponytail or any other type of teased hair you need to learn how to tease your hair in the first place. You need a rat tail comb and the ability to block out pain because at times teasing hurts your scalp! x) P.S. now when I say tease your hair in a basic manner, i dnt want you to go crazy and make your hair look like the womens below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sP05G2DbMo

Teased Ponytail/ Fauxhawk/ Pompadour-
The teased ponytail will give you the "rocker" look . You will need a barrell brush (which you can purchase at wal-mart), hairspray or Mousse, and you will need clear rubberbands and bobbypins. if you want to achieve this look watch this tutorial posted below.
