Merry Late Christmasssss!!!!!

Tis' the season to be jolly..

in honor of christmas time im gonna go over some make up styles you can do for christmas, prior to christmas, or even new year. i had troubles figuring out last night what type of make up do you wear for christmas? not too dark, but not too light, i figured out that you can do a crisp snowy color..meaning you can add nice shine to your cheekbones with a rosey blush. i got a Too Faced palette as a gift the other day and its great for xmas make up.By acheiving a light yet smokey christmas look i used the top left color called "milk chocolate" and i did the corners of the eyes with the bottom left shadow which is called "dirty bag" and to top it off i used the rosey blush along with the mirror mirror gloss. btw the two faced palette is about $39.50.

other colors you can mix up for the holiday looks are mostly cranberries, forest greens, browns, coppers, golds, and you can also use Retrospeck from M.A.C. which will give you a great frosted look.

now that the make up is down, and you know what you are going to apply on your eyes, its crucial that you prep your face before applying foundation. wash your face with philosphy...literally: ($78)

Since the set is pricey, you can buy the purity by itself for about $10. after washing your face make sure you apply some moisturizer and then apply primer to your face (M.A.C. primer or smashbox photo finish)

Zodiac:Scorpio to Pisces

I left off last week with libra. so this week im going to go ahead and finish up the rest of the zodiac signs with scropio to pisces.

Scorpio
-Scorpios are determined,intuitive, passionate and magnetic. The sign scorpio just screams out red and black or red and gold..i know weird, anyways scorpios just remind me of and arabic/egyptian make up style. that being said the best red to use would be the Sephora brand Rouge Cream Lipstick ($12) with the sephora smokey eyeshadow pallette ($50). if you want to go for a more subtle look try using red lid liner and apply gold eyeline on your bottom lashes and apply nude lipstick.

Sagittarius
- Saggitarians are optimistic, jovial, good humerod and honest. peaches, light oranges, and shimmery yellows remind me of saggitarians. the lucky tom quad. from M.A.C. is perfect for saggitarians if not that, you can replace the it with Nars Duo cream eyeshadow, it doesnt have any oranges, or peaches but it consists of a lightt shimmery yellows, nudes and champagne. it would go perfect with just a simple nude gloss.

Capricorn

- Capricorns are ambitious,patient, careful, and also reserved. capricorns remind me of a old pin up look. for example a bobby brown cream lid liner extended out, almost catlike, with rosey cheeks, and a pinkish almost red gloss. Try using Tarte Cheek Stain ($30) for your cheeks and before applying your lid liner apply M.A.C. Painterly.

Aquarius

- Aquariuses are humanitarian, friendly, honest, loyal and original. They remind me of the color aqua, hence the name aquarius. the colors would be either a white beige for a base with light blue corners or for a night time look it would be a white or silver 1/4 of the lid, aqua mid, and then the last part of the lid would be either a black or a dark blue. the urban decay shadow box has all the colors you need to achieve a "aquatic" look ($38) if you dont want to use a white or black.

Pisces
- Pisces are sensitive, imaginitave, compassionate, kind , and are known as escapists. Since the pisces sign is a fish, the color remind me of a shimmery pea green mixed with gold and black. almost the color of snake skin. the Two Faced- Label Whore eyeshadow ($16) which is like a metallic brown blue iridescent ( it basically looks like pea green mixed with gold except you have to add the black corners =] ) singles are great.

Zodiac: Aries Through Libra

I think that every zodiac sign should have a certain set of colors...and you guys can wear the look "represent" your sign lol. anyway here are the color that each zodiac reminds me of and the eyeshadows you can use to achieve the look.

Aries

- Aries are usually outgoing,dynamic, adventurous, and daredevils . the sign reminds me of smokey blues its intense but it can be wearable. the eyeshadows you can use to achieve the intense blue look is the "Kat Von D True Romance Palatte- Metal Orchestra ($34)." the look would go great with the M.A.C. Hello Kitty lip gloss -Fast Friends since its not sold anymore you can purchase it online for $19 or $25 depending. (BELOW IS THE FAST FRIENDS LIPGLOSS)

Taurus

-Taurus are warmhearted, determined, and reliable. The sign just reminds me of browns and nudes. that being said the colors can be worn smokey or just neutral natural. Two amazing eyeshadow sets for browns are Two Faced Natural eye Neutral eyeshadow collection ($34) and Bare Essentials get started eyes ($49).

Gemini

-Gemini's are versatile, lively, eloquent and communicative. Frosty colors are what comes to mind when i think of Geminis, i just think of a nice clean look. i recommend you to use M.A.C.'s Luna frost which is a highlighter and you can use it for your cheekbones, bridge of nose, and under eyebrows. i dont really think of any eyeshadows that would go, place the highlighter at the inner corners of your eyes and then sweep on black eyeliner along with "Two Face Lip of Luxury Lipstick ($18)" or if you like gloss "Two Faced Girl Dig Pearls ($18)."

Cancer

- Cancers are Imaginative, Loving, Shrewd, and Emotional. Orangish Yellows stick out to me with dark brown smoky corners. you can achieve the look by using "B**Ch Slap Cosmetics- Crazy B**Ch " http://bitchslap-cosmetics.com/ .

Leo

-Leos are Generous, creative, enthusiastic and expansive. that being said leos remind me of the color gold. so a great gloss would be "Guerlain Terracotta Gloss and shine ($28). and eyeshadow would obviously be a good gold color such as M.A.C. -Copper or Laura Geller Sugared Baked Pearl Eyeshadow ($23).

Virgo

-Virgos are modest,shy, meticulous, and analytical. They scream the color green. not too many can pull of the green look so be careful ,you want people to be able to tell you apart from a leaf or a frog. dont pack it on.and if you do mix it with dark green and black or light green with darker corners. YSL 5 colour set - Garden of Eden ($56). this would look great with Nars Nectar lip gloss ($24) .

Libra

- Libras are romantic, diplomatic, charming, and easygoing. they remind me of different color purples. The Dior 5-Colour Eyeshadow - Night Butterfly 173 ($56) would be great along with a light gloss such as the fast friends. it will give you a ultraviolet look.

Mascara

Mascara is a big issue for alot of people. they either have the trouble of clumped lashes, or the mascara dries out to quickly or doesnt give your lashes the volume that you actually want.
here are 3 mascara's I recommend;

Givenchy Phenomen eyes Mascara-

This mascara really is amazing, by itself it costs about$28 at sephora, but since its the holiday season if you go now they give you the Givenchy mascara and a Givenchy Lip Gloss for $28 whereas the gloss by itself is $24. the mascara wand is an unusual shape and it might take some people long to apply but if you get the hang of it, your lashes will look curled and seperated.

Chanel Inimitable-

This mascara is about $27 to $30 depending on where you get it. you can either order on their website http://www.CHANEL.com/ or go to Nordstrom. The mascara isnt great for dramatic looks but it is good if you want to go for a natural look. the mascara definitely doesnt clump your lashes instead it plumps them.

Loreal Voluminous Mascara-

This mascara is about $10 at any drugstore, (CVS, Walgreens) it is certainly the cheapest of all and it works amazing. it absolutely does not clump your lashes and it makes them look long, thick and really voluminous and plump. i really recommend this product for those of you who cant afford to spend $30 on just mascara.

Quick Tip: When applying mascara, make sure you choose one thats right for you, you can get the Sephora Favorites LashStash Mascara Deluxe Sampler for $39. After picking the one thats good for you. Choose the color that best suits you. different colored eyes go for different color mascara in order to accentuate your eyes. before you application curl your lashes. when apply be cautious of how you pull your wand, because you will be prone to clumping if you dont do it correctly, make sure the edge of your brush and the wand are clean. and finally apply to upperlashes by placing the wand under your lashes and comb thru in a zigzag motion and than place it above your lashes and do the same.
